Central Heating Servicing
Maintaining your Central Heating system can help considerably to reduce your bills and prolong the life of your overall system.
Regular Central Heating Servicing
Regular central heating maintenance is extremely important, especially if your boiler is an older model. The service we carry out will check for potential faults which could lead to the system malfunctioning. Even if everything appears to be in working order you should always ensure that an experienced and qualified heating engineer check your system.
Midland Gas provides a local central heating service which can look at all boilers and systems and all of our engineers are Gas Safe registered to guarantee service and safety. See boiler servicing for a checklist of what an engineer should be doing during a boiler service.
Power flushing is the process through which the build-up of any sludge and corrosive materials in your central heating pipes is removed. This is done using water at high velocity but low pressure so that no physical damage is caused to your system. This will help to evenly distribute the heat and may also help with reducing the energy required to pump water through the system.
This process should be done when a new boiler is first installed with an existing system, as this can help to alleviate any potential problems. It should then be done at regular intervals.
Regularly check your radiators to check that heat is being evenly distributed.
If the top of the radiator is cold and the bottom is hot, then you need to bleed your radiator. If this is a happening frequently then air is getting into your system and you should get this checked by a heating engineer to find where the leak might be.
We have called on Midland Gas a few times now. Each time their service is great. Their skills in ensuring that we have the right solution are spot on and consistently high in standard. Great job lads.
